First UCC is seeking a Collaborative Organist/Pianist to accompany congregational singing, accompany the church choir, and support the worship service with appropriate music, including hymns, a prelude, offertory and postlude, as well as other music required. The church is home to a W. B. D. Simmons 2 Manual and Pedal Pipe Organ, refurbished in 2025 by Andover Organ Company. Additionally there is a Hardman Peck & Co. Grand Piano refurbished in 2013, and a Clavinova electric keyboard that support the music ministry of the church as well. There is a detailed PDF available to download below this job notice. The Congregational Church of Henniker, United Church of Christ is seeking a skilled musician who is comfortable with an array of musical styles used to grow our appreciation of the diverse ways to worship God through music. This year-round position is salaried and part-time. The candidate will participate in Sunday morning choir rehearsal, Sunday worship services and other special services, including Christmas Eve and Good Friday. On-site time on Sunday mornings averages 2.5 hours. In addition to excellent keyboard skills, proficiency in other instruments is greatly appreciated, although not required. The successful applicant will be a team player, working with the Choir Director and Pastor. Located in Henniker, NH, this open and affirming congregation of 100 members is vibrant and caring. We have a Johnson Tracker Organ and a Techniques electronic keyboard. We are looking for a Christian organist who can play the keyboard and/or organ 1-2 Sundays a month or more if available. Our church services are from 10-11:00 on Sunday mornings. We typically have 3 songs (both traditional hymns and contemporary Christian). The starting income for a Sunday service would be $100.00.
