St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea Episcopal Summer Chapel in Rye Beach, NH is looking for organists and pianists who would like to accompany the hymns and service music for its Rite II 9:30 am summer services Sunday, June 11th through Sunday, September 3rd, 2023.

Services are approximately one hour long and involve collaborating with a guest musician for at least two of the three voluntaries (prelude, offertory, and postlude). Qualified candidates may contact Savannah Curro, Music Coordinator at St. Andrew’s, at spmcurro@gmail.com.

St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea particularly values the contributions of young musicians, and warmly invites candidates of high school and college to apply, in addition to those with more experience. Music Director (Part Time)

The Arlington Street United Methodist Church in Nashua, New Hampshire is seeking a part-time Music Director. The ideal candidate for this position would be both an organist and pianist, and capable of directing choir. The candidate applying for this position should be comfortable with being recorded on video and familiar with music copyright licensing. Candidates who are organists with no choral directing experience are also encouraged to apply.
This paid position is a 3-5 hour weekly commitment. In this role, the Music Director is expected to coordinate and implement the music ministry of the church as a form of worship to enhance the spiritual life of the church. The Music Director will work closely with the Pastor to plan and lead the music ministries of the church. The Music Director would also be a participant of the worship committee. Worship is on Sundays at 10 a.m. (moves to 9:30 a.m. in summer), and the Music Director provides the accompaniment on a combination of 95-year old pipe organ and piano.  for this weekly service. The primary worship hymnals are The United Methodist Hymnal and The Faith We Sing. Choir practice would be on a weekday evening and/or prior to worship on Sunday morning.
